Exploring the Canary Islands

If you want to dip your body on the waters of the beach and feel the warm embrace of the sun before the summer ends, the Canary Islands will surely make your summer more satisfying.  This is a group of heavenly islands that are absolutely breathtaking and very relaxing.  Among the amazing islands include Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Gran Canaria.  Each of these islands has something unique to offer, and it would be a good idea to have a peek on all of them.

Fuerteventura Island

Fuerteventura is the second biggest island in the Canary Island Group.  It is just 60 miles away from north western part of Africa.  Seldom does this island experience any rain and it is, therefore, assured that you will have a great vacation.  There are also places in Fuerteventura that offer a unique experience like the Dunes National Park and the Island of Seals.

Tenerife Island

Tenerife Island is the largest island of the Canary Islands . The island has Mount Teide as its major component.  Mount Teide, which is standing at 3,718 meters above sea level, is the highest in Spain and is known to be a dormant volcano.  The island has two climates brought about by Mount Teide.  The climate at the northern part is a bit wet and has more trees, while the southern part is warmer and dry.  There is a cable car available if you want to reach the top of the mountain. Just slide your way down to the beach if you want to feel the heat of the sun, walk on its black sand and swim on the cool waters of the island.

Lanzarote Island

The Lanzarote Island is where you’ll find the sun’s heat very generous – this is perfect for people who adore the sun.  Not only will you find the weather very appealing, but the beach, its crystal-clear waters and the picturesque views will also make your jaw drop.  You’ll find the Timanfaya Mountain, which is actually a volcano, to be a very attractive sight.  You can reach the top through a car, bus, or a camel to have a better view of the island.

Gran Canaria Island

The Gran Canaria ranks third among the Canary Islands in terms of size, and in terms of population, it ranks first.  You’ll find grey and golden sand beaches in the island and it actually depends on which section you’re in, northern or southern part.  This is an ideal place for people who want to hike and explore.  There are some places in this island where the sun shines the whole year round.
